Feels Like Home

Hannah & Joe

There’s something deeply comforting about coming home—about the places that hold your earliest memories and the people who feel like your truest roots. For Hannah and Joe Jordan, home was Marietta, Georgia, and more specifically, the storied brick paths and timeless charm of the Marietta Square. So when it came time to choose where to begin their forever, The Foxglove was the natural choice.

“We both grew up here,” they shared. “As a couple, we spent a ton of time on the Square. It only made sense to bring our story full circle.”

From the very beginning, their wedding was designed with heart and hospitality in mind. The Foxglove’s airy, flexible layout gave Hannah and Joe room to dream. “We loved the open feel of the venue—and that we were able to do so much with the space,” they said.

And do something meaningful they did.

In a world where wedding favors and photo booths can take center stage, Hannah and Joe brought the focus back to love and gratitude. At every dinner seat, guests found a handwritten note—a simple, heartfelt thank-you from the couple, personalized just for them.

“We wanted each person to feel how much they meant to us,” Hannah said. “They’re the reason our day was so special.”

Their dinner was served family-style, encouraging conversation, connection, and comfort. The kind of meal that feels more like a big Sunday supper than a formal affair. “That felt true to us,” they explained. “It made everything feel warmer.”

Behind the scenes, The Foxglove team worked hand-in-hand with In An Instant Events to bring every detail to life. From vendor coordination to day-of transitions, the couple felt held by the team’s calm, capable presence. “They knew everything about the space,” said Joe. “It made everything seamless.”

One of the most magical features of the day was what the team lovingly refers to as “the flip”—a transformation of the ceremony space into the dinner and reception area during cocktail hour. As guests spilled into the courtyard, sipping drinks and catching up under twinkle lights, the team inside quietly worked their magic.

“We were even able to bring in lounge furniture to create cozy seating outdoors,” Hannah said. “It felt like a backyard party—just a little more dressed up.”

When asked to pick their favorite moment, Hannah and Joe didn’t hesitate: “It was seeing all our loved ones—mingling, laughing, hugging. That joy was everything.”

Their advice to other couples considering a venue? “Destination weddings can be fun, but having a place that’s central to your people—and that feels like you—is priceless. That’s what The Foxglove gave us.”
